Hi i am having prob with dates reg the years

ex

data a;
input dt ddmmyy10.;
cards;
10/02/89
03/04/03
run;

i am getting the output as
10/02/1989
03/04/1903 but this date should be 03/04/2003
if i am keeping year cutoff =1900 first date will work and if i keepyearcutoff=2000 then second date will work how can i dot this i am having 20 million data

Year cut off doesn't need to be 100's of years. Why not use yearcutoff=1980 or whatever the smallest reasonable year you need?
