Hi community,
I'm struggling to find the best way to calculate the Reduced major axis regression between two variables.
Is there a proc command for this?
thanks in advance

im new to stats and SAS (student) so would you mind elaborating on what the values should be and what should remain unchanged in the formula?
eg is y for y axis variable? what needs to be subbed into b1 or abs (if anything)? etc
proc nlp; min area; parms b1=1, b0=1; area=(y - (b0 + b1*x))**2 / abs(b1); run;
Y is the name of your response variable.
X is the name of your predictor variable.
If the SAS data set that contains your data has different variable names, then you substitute the actual variable names in place of X and Y.
Hi Paige,
is there a way to do this university edition? I just found that this proc isnt available in this edition..
