Hi,

I was trying to connect to a MS SQL server through SAS which is present in UNIX using passthrough. I wanted to know how do we configure the DNS name for this or is it ok if we just specify the Datasrc instead?

Thank you so much in Advance!

Your post does not tell much about your situation/configuration.
A good starting point is the configuration guide:

Hi.

I think you can use ODBC to connect to sql server, Maybe DNS will not be used, you
can use IP address.

ODBC is the only supported way. It's an add-on, so you will need to check with your site admin to see if you have it already or will need to license it.
