Hi,

I am looking for help to write a code that will display number of notes, errors, and warnings in the sas log at the beginning of the log as we can see in sas online training videos. Here is an example:

>     Errors (5)

>     Warning (7)

>     Notes (3)

This is a Q&A forum.  Your request is a provide a "log check" utility.  If you can consolidate down to certain question help would be forthcoming, but I am not going to write an application for you.  For searching, use infile to read the file, and findw or index wot search for ERROR:, WARNING:, or NOTE:.

What you're seeing in the video's is SAS EG or Studio and you're on SAS BASE?

If you need that functionality why not switch to one of those environments? Also, search LexJansen.com for examples of log scanning utility codes or just google search with those key words.
