Hi SAS Forum,

I tried to export a SAS output file using the below code.

PROC EXPORT DATA=work.ABC

OUTFILE="\\abcde-j9-sas01\llk\Income.xlsx"

DBMS=XLS REPLACE;

sheet = "sheet3";

PUTNAMES=YES;

run;

Question:

It gives the following error messege. Could you please help me to identify what is the wrong with the code?

File is not OLE2

Requested Input File Is Invalid

ERROR: Export unsuccessful.  See SAS Log for details.

NOTE: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of errors.

Thank you very much

Try using the EXCEL engine; XLS only supports through Excel 2003.  See the documentation for SAS/Access for PC FIle Formats.

XLS neither works for mine 😞

Why are you naming the file like it is an XLSX file, but telling PROC EXPORT to produce an XLS file?
