Dear all,

I have a set of SAS transport files. A sample code is given to me using proc cimport:

proc cimport library=outlib infile="C:\Users\hli\Desktop\crs.dat" ; run;

When I run the codes, the warning message says: Incompatible linguistic collating sequence. Linguistic collating sequence will not be
set.

I'm using SAS 9.4. I tried the sort option but it didn't work.

Anyone can help solve this problem?

Thank you!

Hera

Hi Hera,

Do you know the SAS release used to create your transport files?
If SAS9.2 was involved, please have a look at Problem Note 33572 (The UPLOAD and DOWNLOAD procedures for SAS/CONNECT® software lose linguistic sorting information), available from http://support.sas.com/kb/33/572.html,
The hot fix needs to be install and transport files recreated.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Damo
