I have a proc means statement that is coded like this:

proc means sum data = final missing;

class table;

var claim;

run;

I am trying to export the results to Excel and I changed it to:

proc means sum data = final noprint;

class table;

var claim;

output out=summary;

run;

proc export data = summary replace;

dbms=excel;

outfile=&output;

sheet=summary;

It does process the export but it does not process what is actually the means. It should export the following:

  The SAS System         17:44 Monday, February 18, 2013   1

                                         The MEANS Procedure

Your output statement should be more specific

output out=summary sum=Sum;
