I am trying to do a box plot with the PROC BOXPLOT but I see an error.
the code I am trying to write is
proc boxplot data=ect_2014.dosering;
plot ( frekvenssista pulsbreddSista)*Sjukhus_Gruppnamn;
run;
I reveice this error
275
276 proc boxplot data=ect_2014.dosering;
ERROR: Procedure BOXPLOT not found.
277 plot ( frekvenssista pulsbreddSista)*Sjukhus_Gruppnamn;
278 run;
Please help me of what to correct in this?

Hi:
This error indicates that PROC BOXPLOT is not included in your installation, probably because SAS/GRAPH is either not included with your installation or not installed. You would need to check with your system administrator to see whether you have SAS/GRAPH available to use.
It is also possible to create boxplots using ODS GRAPHICS, which is part of Base SAS. You would use the SGPLOT procedure with either the HBOX or the VBOX statement. Here is an example from the documentation.
Cynthia
proc sgplot data=sashelp.heart;
title "Cholesterol Distribution by Weight Class";
hbox cholesterol / category=weight_status;
run;
title;
proc sgplot data=sashelp.heart;
title "Cholesterol Distribution by Weight Class";
vbox cholesterol / category=weight_status;
run;
title;
Hi thank you Cynthia.,
However I Think both give a different format of output.
Please see the attachment , or may be I am missing on something here.,
I just need the box plot with mean and median and not the other values.
I need a plot which shows only the mean and median(right plot), and how can I do it. ?
Hi,
If you look in the documentation, you will see that there are control options for the markers and much, much else. Here's the link to the doc
