Does 'PROC ACCESS DBMS = IMS' need to have a separate licence for connecting to IMS.
I was trying to extract data from IMS using the same and it is showing an error which says 'The SAS/ACCESS Interface to IMS-DL/I product with which the procedure is associated is either not licensed for your system or the product license has expired'.
Generally yes. You can see if you have it licensed by running
PROC SETINIT;
If it is listed there, it means that it is just not installed on the server you are using.
I usually go through my local SAS site rep with questions about licensing and costs.
