When using BY groups in PROC REPORT, is it possible to prevent the by group information from showing in a printed document? If so, how can it be done?

The system option is BYLINE or NOBYLINE.

option nobyline; /* before the code you don't want bylines appearing*/

It would be a good idea to set the default back aftewards:

option byline;

When removing the byline, it is often helpful to use the #BYVAL, #BYLINE, and #BYVAR title options.
