PROC REPORT : separate dataset for summary variables

Hi All,

I have two datasets : the first one, A, contains some variables, say X, Y, Z and

the second one, B, is a one row dataset containing summary values for some of

the variables of A e.g. SX, SY.

The summary functions used to build dataset B are not simple sums or means but

use some specific rules.

Can I, using PROC REPORT, generate a table displaying data from dataset A and, on

an additional row, the summary values extracted from dataset B ?

No, but you could just run PROC REPORT against a view that does combine them.

data c / view=c ;

set a(in=in1) b(in=in2);

group = in2 ;

run;

proc report data=c ... ;

  column group .... ;

  define group / group noprint ;

  ...

run;
