Opening Up SAS Dataset in write Mode...

We have small look up table, with some dates and completion factors, about 10 rows in total...

We are looking to have users in a specific UNIX group, who have write access to the SAS Datasets, open the Dataset in EG and update a completion factor through EG.

They can do it by code via EG but they are asking to just bring up the dataset in (edit / write mode) when they view the dataset in project designer.

Is there a setting in EG that lets the user open up the dataset in edit mode when they have update access via UNIX?

Yes. In the menu of EG ,there is a item DATA, cancel the hook before it.
