Hi,

If I wanted to check in a proc sql for a null date values and convert to a furture date if null and then compare that date using current date, can't I use nvl function?

It's throwing an error. Please help.

For example, I may have null date value in a date field and when I wanted to compare this null date value after converting to a furture date agains current date ....

thanks!!

SAS sql doesn't have an nvl function like Oracle.  Can you use the coalesce function instead?  Take a look at: http://decipherinfosys.wordpress.com/2007/08/02/coalesce-isnull-nvl/

Maybe you can use Pass-Through SQL to use all the function of Oracle.
