Hello Forum,
I need to connect mysql database to SAS. I was wondering how it can be done? I appreciate any idea on syntax.
Thanks !!!
Not something I'm doing often - but I would say you need first the MySQL driver/connector installed MySQL :: Download Connector/ODBC
Installation must be on the machine where your SAS Server runs (and that's then also where you define the ODBC datasource).
You need either SAS/Access to ODBC or SAS/Access to MySQL licensed, installed and configured. SAS/ACCESS(R) 9.4 for Relational Databases: Reference, Sixth Edition What do you have?
There are code examples in the docu link posted above.
Hi Patrick,
We have SAS/ACCESS interface to ODBC.
Thanks !!!
Hi Patrick,
In my computer, I can see only Oracle and SQL Server on ODBC data source (When I went to add). How to connect to MySQL?
Thanks !!!
I haven't used it myself, but there seems to be a nice MYSQL site with a driver for ODBC.
Thanks, Patrick and Tom,
I realized I need to install ODBC Driver for MySql.
