I am using BASE sas fitting distribution for the data.
and the result showed as I posted the picture above.
as I know 'Alpha' parameter of pareto distributon is usually not less than 0 but, the result show like that.
I would like to know Is it work for this data (regardless of p-value)?
it might be instructive to plot the fitted curve over your observed data
The distribution you are fitting with PROC UNIVARIATE is a GENERALIZED Pareto distribution (GPD), which might be probably different than what you are expecting. The (regular) Pareto distribution can be fit by PROC SEVERITY if you have access to SAS/ETS software.
