Dear All,

Is it possible to open SAS in a single window, like it appears in Windows, when running it from a Windows workstation through putty SSH and an X11 Windowing server such as XMING and connecting to the central SAS Linux server?

perhaps something like sas -x 1 & or perhaps in some preference file?

Thank you.

The simple answer is yes. My recollection is that the editor, log, output and explorer areas appear in separate X-windows within one X-windows container so you can place and size each window separately on the screen. I suggest you check out the SAS Companion for Linux documentation for more details. Message was edited by: SASKiwi

It's not possible - there is no "docking view" for the SAS windows when running on Unix/Linux.
