I need to import just a single excel cell using the proc import.  Can anyone tell me how to do that or provide a piece of code that does?

Many thanks,

You only need to define the range to be that one particular cell you want.  However, if you sheet has any special characters in it that could pose a problem.  If so, or if not, the following tech note supplies the code you need: http://support.sas.com/kb/19/827.html

Thanks for the help.  The key is to use the ranges as described but to set the GETNAMES equal to NO.
