I have a data in sas like:

Role                          Answer

A                               100%

B                                 20%

When I import data in sas (using import statements) the percentages gets import as::

Role                          Answer

A                               1

B                                2

Is there a way to import percentage as percentage?

Thanks for your time.

Use the percent informat.  e.g.,

data want;

  input Role $ Answer Percent4.;

  cards;

A  100%

B   20%

Hi,

First import data in sas (using import statements) then execute following code

Data Inputdata;

set Inputdata;

format Answer Percent8.;

Run;

Proc Print Data=Inputdata;

Run;

The percentages gets import as::

Role                          Answer

A                               100%

B                                20%
