Hello,

I am running code which first imports data using a data step.

the problem that Im finding that if that datafile is missing, the whole program keeps freezing.

WHat I would like to do is to skip certian steps if the datafile is missing?

Can anyone help me out?

For reference, I am running on SAS EG 7.1

Thanks,

Depending your preference, look for functions FEXIST or FILEEXIST. Depend on your code steam, You may need to implement MACRO langugage to branch out your SAS code based on the outcome of these two functions.
