Hello all -

how can I rename an actual data set (not the variables) without creating a copy of the data set and then naming it, so for example I have dataset1 and want to call it dataset2 without doing this:

data dataset2;
set dataset1;
run;

Is there a function for this?

Minimally, you can use either the x (or other) system command, or proc datasets. Both uses are described in the following paper:
