%PUT      NO. OF COLUMNS = &NO_OF_COLS.;

%PUT      ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------;

%END;

I would want the PUT statements to start in a new SAS log but not copied to the sessions's log.

Is there any possibility to work on this particular requirement. Any help would be immensely appreciated.

Thanks,

Shiva.

If there is something you want a separate log for you can write it to another location, it will not show up in your sas session.  I personally don't like the way it's displayed but this may help:

proc printto log="/sas/user_data/general/sandbox/filename.log"; run;

data whatever;

set whatever;

sas code;

run;

proc printto;run;
