How to create a summary statistics table for contineous & discrete varaibles presented as +/- SD or n (%) separated by gender or any variable of interest?

Hi:
This kind of demographic report has been well documented in PharmaSUG papers and SGF papers. Either you need to make a character variable with the +/-SD or the n (%) ahead of time or you use PROC REPORT. See examples 1 and 8 in this paper for a start: http://www2.sas.com/proceedings/forum2008/173-2008.pdf
