How to break PROC DOWNLOAD after executing?

I would like to break PROC DOWNLOAD when it is downloading a data from a server. The reason is that I realized that it takes a longer time than I expected, so I would like to re-run this code later when I don't work on SAS. But I didn't find a solution to break it. Does anybody have a tip for me? The only way I know is quitting SAS...

Why don't you RSUBMIT your DOWNLOAD step to your SAS server using the WAIT = NO option (called asynchronous submit)? That way you can let your download work in the background while you can continue to work uninterrupted?
