Can you provide an example of your data?  What is the problem you are experiencing exactly?  In your code you call two macros: %dropout, %dropwgt, what is their purpose?

I'm trying to fit a weighted generalized estimation equation to my data.  I'm getting error messages.  I got the macros from a book on longitudinal data analysis by Molenberghs.  The DROPOUT macro is used to construct the the variables 'dropout' and 'prev.'  The 'dropout' term is important and indicates if participants have dropped out of the study before its completion.  The 'prev' term refers to the outcome at previous occasions.  The DROPWGT macro creates weights that are equal to the product of the probability of either dropping out at that time or continuing in a study.

Where does the file armd111 come from?

I'm not sure.  I got it from a book on missing data.  Could that be a problem?  If so, what can I do about it?

I can only suggest that you read Professor Molenberghs' book a little more thoroughly.  He does use a file called armd111 as an input to that particular analysis, but you would have to read the book to see exactly what he is doing and why.

But, yes, not having the input file on which the analysis is to be based would definitely pose a rather major problem.

What can I do about the input file?  What can I replace it with?

I have to think that the book explains what the file is and how it is applied.  If not, why not write directly to Professor Molenbergh?
