I am using BASE SAS V9 running on Z/OS mainframe. I would like to print/write the report output in a flat file instead of the default SAS log. is it possible ?

And if you're using JCL, you can override the DDNAMES for the default files in the JCL stream. For more help with this question, you might consult the SAS Companion documentation for z/OS or contact Tech Support.
