Error while trying to copy data from one library to another

The "stat1" is a permanent library which was sucessfully assigned! 

But I am not sure, whether i have writing access to this new library i created. Please help me.

Did you create the library in this session?

You have to tell the current SAS session about that library. There are a number of method that can be done such as using the Tools> New Library wizard to create the library and select the "Enable at startup" option.

Or provide code in an autoexec.sas that runs each time SAS starts.

Or run the libname statement in the current or other program.

Whether you have write permissions would depend on your admin and where you created the library.

You should show the log from executing your libname statement to see if anything appears odd that we can see.

Also you can use the LIST command to get some information about your library:

libname stat1 list; would write info about the library into the log.

I learnt where my mistake was. Actually SAS does not have write permissions into my PC, where i had assigned the library.Tat was a part of the problem.

Its sorted now and its a relief.
