Hi to all,
I don't know why, but since today I cannot import anymore the metadata for a file Excel. I've tried to make a new libname, and what happens is that it tries to generate the libname, adding as options my username and my password.
But I'm using the SAS Access for Excel, so this options are (naturally) found as invalid!
I've tried to understand why this happens, but still I cannot find any idea 😞

By saying "import anymore the metadata" i presume that you are in DI Studio or management Console, or...? In this case, the following note could be of interest:http://support.sas.com/kb/16/676.html
Even if the note states that there is no workaround for Excel files, I believe there is: you need to specify a new authentication domain, which has no logins attached to it, and attach it to your Excel libnames.
