Hi,

I want to read in several files using:

FILENAME FREF ('a' 'b') ...;

DATA ...;
INFILE FREF ...;

What is the best method to distinguish among files 'a' and 'b'? I want to now in each iteration of the data step which file the data step is processing?

Thanks in advance

In the SAS doco for the "infile" statement are examples of how to read from multiple input files (and how to know from which one you're reading).
