Decision Tree Analysis

Hi Team,

I am trying to figure out if a Decision Tree Analysis or Algorithm can be executed with Just BASE SAS. Below is what we have right now in our organisation.

For Base Product ...
   Custom version information: 9.21_M1
   Image version information: 9.02.02M2P081209
For SAS/STAT ...
   Custom version information: 9.21_M1
For SAS/GRAPH ...
   Custom version information: 9.21_M1

I found a code in google that uses xmacro, Treedesc and IML. But We do not have IML installed. (Ref: http://www.public.iastate.edu/~kkoehler/stat557/tree1.4page.pdf)

Is there a solution to have the decision tree algorithm executed sucessfully with what we have. Is there a code that i can catch up some where.

There are no procedures, that I know of, in SAS/STAT that provide a means for performing decision tree type analysis.  There are several choices avaiable in other products however that I can think of.  Some from SAS and some from other companies.  SAS/OR has DTREE Procedure.  SAS Enterprise Miner has the Decision Tree Node.  There may be others by SAS as well, these are the two I know.  Another product I have used is by a company called Angoss is called KnowledgeSEEKER, it can integrate with SAS software, read the data directly and output decision tree code in SAS language.
