Hi,
I get a problem on read DBF format data.
When I try to import a DBF format data, "AF_BENCH.DBF", with proc import, like this:
PROC IMPORT OUT=asd
DATAFILE="E:\Database\ORG\Analyst_DBF\Rank\AF_BENCH.DBF"
DBMS=DBF REPLACE;
run;
well, two variables are missing, both the two variables are string variables and are very long (one of them is "notes" and contains observations more than 100 words)
Is it because the variables are too long? How should I deal with it?
Many THX!
You might try DBMS= DBFMEMO to read data with memo fields, which sounds like your data.
THX. But it doesn‘t work. Is it a option in lastest version? My sas version is 9.1.3, I can not find this DBMS option in SAS help.
Well, I just search it in SAS support, yes, This indeed is an option in SAS 9.2. Well, update is nessary?
