Dear All, 

Can I please seek your help on how do we get cumulative mortality rate?

Depends on the data.

Cumulative over what? Time periods? Geography? Demographic groups? Cause of mortality?

 

Lots of ways to deal with cumulative anything and very data content dependent.

Let say 12-month cumulative probabilities of in-hospital mortality ( %) by gender. 

How can this be obtained in SAS please?

You really need to provide some form of data and what the result for that example would look like.

The data can be fake but should be enough to exercise any grouping or rules.

Divide the counts by your totals and use SGPLOT to graph it.
Sometimes you can cheat by using PROC UNIVARIATE and the cumulative distribution plots.
