Hi there,

I want to combine two formats :

Here is an example of what I want (but it does not work):

proc format;
      value purchase_date_fmt   .   = "No purchase "
                              other = ddmmyy10. ;
run;

I performed a left join and want to display "No purchase" instead of the missing values and display the non missing values using ddmmyy10. format.

Is there a solution to do this ?

Thanks !

Hi,

You need to specify the ther format in square brackets [ddmmyy10.] - see the example in the SAS documentation here: https://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/proc/65145/HTML/default/viewer.htm#n147lut5kyth0yn1dr52...
