Calculating Age in SAS

I have two variables "dateofbirth" and "dateofdeath" for a few thousand records. I am trying to calculate in years what the age at death was. How exactly might I do that?

What type of format is the data for both of the variables "dateofbirth" and "dateofdeath"?

They are in yyyymmdd format.
