Hi all

Experiencing difficulties with import of a large database. I can import the csv file successively however SAS replaces the values with one digit equivilents. For example; 123999 would become 1. 5677 would become 5. How can I prevent this? The file is not of much use to me if it replaces the characters.

The current command I am using is:

PROC IMPORT OUT= WORK.MoreAccVar

DATAFILE= "C:\Users\253507F\Desktop\accountingVar.csv"

DBMS=CSV REPLACE;     GETNAMES=YES;     DATAROW=2; RUN;

It is generally not necessary to post the same request multiple times on this board.

Look for answers in your "Import Problem" thread.
