I have a query that acts as a template where users change values in the header, presses run, and then a folder is automatically created where the datasets are saved. For reasons of posterity we need the code to be saved in the folder as well. Is there a way to have the program automatically save to a designated folder?

Saving the code, as submitted, partly depends on the user-interface you are working from.

Saving the log is much easier and may be better for documentation purposes.  PROC PRINTTO can redirect the log to a file.
