Hello All.  Just a reminder that this Ask The Expert webinar is being held today at 11:00am Eastern Time (US).  I created this presentation because PROC FEDSQL has been around since the beginning of 9.4, and I believed that most users were a lot like me: they have heard of it but they really do not understand much about it - how or when to use it versus PROC SQL.  Register if you can attend or watch it when it comes out "On-Demand".  The number of registrants so far (hundreds) indicate that my my belief was correct.  I hope that you can join me for this.

Just some more info on the topic and how to register:

Hi SAS Procedures Community,

I’m presenting a live “Ask the Expert” webinar on January 26th, 11 AM – Noon ET entitled Proc SQL or Proc FEDSQL: Which Should a Programmer Use? Learn when and how to use PROC FedSQL and when it offers benefits over PROC SQL. This webinar is ideal for SAS®9 and SAS® Viya® programmers who access and query data using DATA step or PROC SQL. I’ll host a live Q&A session at the end of the webinar.

You will learn:

  • When and how to use PROC FedSQL.
  • When to use PROC FedSQL versus PROC SQL or DATA step.
  • The differences of running PROC FedSQL in SAS®9 (or the Viya Compute Server) versus in the CAS Server.

Click here to register for the webinar.
