This paper describes three ways to access ORACLE tables: SAS/Access Interface to Orace, ODBC, OLE DB.

Is there a performance difference among these three methods?

Yes.There are some different.
I recommend to use SAS/Access which is more efficient because you can pass sql code to Oracle DBMS by Pass-Through method to use highly oracle resource, and you can also have several sessions at one time, However ODBC has only one session at one time .
About OLE DB ,not familiar.

Doesn't ODBC also allow pass-through query?

ODBC also allow pass-through query.
But I still prefer to SAS/Access.
whatever ,if you want to know more about these, the best way is to chech documentation.
