Accessing Informix through SAS in Maifnrame Environment

Is it possible to use SAS/ACCESS Interface to Informix in Mainframe Environment?

If not kindly let me know, what is the best possible way to access the Informix database from the maifnrame environment?

How do plan to use the Informix DB? retrieving/loading data?
I can't see in the current SAS release that a direct connection to Informix is possible, at least by using SAS-only techniques.
My guess is that your options would be:
- Using a SAS Connect to a SAS UNIX server, and there use SAS/ACCESS to Informix
- Using a SAS Connect to a SAS Windows server, and there use SAS/ACCESS to ODBC to connect to Informix
- For data retrieval: have Informix export it's data in flat files
Could be wise to contact SAS for help/guidance of this set-up.
