Agentic AI represents the next evolution beyond generative AI—moving from producing outputs to taking meaningful action across workflows. This session outlines SAS’s roadmap for enabling agent-based systems within Viya, including grounding models with enterprise data, building governed agents, and connecting them to analytics tools across the lifecycle. The roadmap highlights key components such as Retrieval Agent Manager (RAG pipelines), model context protocol (MCP) for tool access, and Copilot-driven experiences that can take action—not just answer questions. Together, these capabilities aim to deliver trusted, enterprise-ready agents that balance autonomy with governance, scalability, and integration into existing systems.
