SAS Information Map Studio 3.1 Startup Error

Hello,

I installed Information Map Studio 3.1 and the latest Hotfix (v6) but I'm getting a Null Pointer Exception error when starting IMS. This is the error:

java.lang.NullPointerException
java.lang.NullPointerException

at com.sas.workspace.WorkspaceIMS.getConnectedWorkspaceIMS.java:395)
at com.sas.apps.mapStudio.MapStudioCmdLineAndStatics.initConnectionMapStudioCmdLineAndStatics.java:105)
at com.sas.apps.mapStudio.MapStudio.connectFirstTime(MapStudio.java:1689)
at com.sas.apps.mapStudio.MapStudio.initMainframeStatic(MapStudio.java:2197)
at com.sas.apps.mapStudio.MapStudio.main(MapStudio.java:2247)

I'm running it on Windows 2000 with JRE 1.6.0_3. Does anyone know what could be a problem?

If you are still experiencing problems, you should do a couple of things:
1) open a track with Technical Support http://support.sas.com/ctx/supportform/createForm

2) Search the Samples and Notes database for Information Map Studio http://tinyurl.com/olz8zj
