Robust Linear Model?

I've been asked to analyze some data using a robust linear model. All of the factors are categorical in nature. I'm interested to know what procedures people have used for this area of analysis. I know this is a vague comment, but I'm interested in people's experiences in general, not specific code for a specific problem.
