Has anyone ever seen issues with a wired mouse and wired keyboard becoming unresponsive or very slow to respond? Using SAS/PC Base and SAS/STAT.

Thank you in advance.

John

Have a look in Windows Task Manager and check CPU and memory usage. If either are near 100% that might explain your problem.

Further to the suggestion from @SASKiwi, a few more points to consider might be:

  1. If you work with anyone else who uses the same software, do they also experience the same issue as you on their machine?
  2. Are you able to try using another PC and does that make any difference?
  3. Does the issue happen when you are actually running SAS code or does it also happen when no SAS code is running?
  4. Has the issue only been experienced once the SAS software was installed or did you experience before the installation?
  5. Is something else also running, e.g., virus scanner?
  6. Does it always happen at the same time of day / same time you're using SAS?
  7. How does your machine compare to the SAS system requirements for running their software?

Kind regards,

Amir.
