How to increase length of vaiable label.

By default sas is restricting variables label length to 40 letters. I given the 60 letters of label to one variable. But sas is giving upto 40 letters of label.

It seems that you are still dealing with version 6 data. From SAS version 8, you can have 256-character long labels. Maybe migrating your data to a more recent version would be enough.
