As many of you are aware, this year we wanted to introduce an engaging way for folks presenting in breakout sessions at SAS Global Forum to promote their work to a potential audience in the months leading up to the event. With this new Promotional Video Program, presenters were given the option to submit a short promotional video to a special playlist on our SAS Users YouTube channel. They were encouraged to be as creative and entertaining as they wanted, with fame and fortune on the line (if you consider “fame” being called out to the SAS Global Forum audience and “fortune” being free SAS training). We had many great submissions, with a variety of approaches taken, and the 5 most popular videos (based on “likes”) were then scored by a panel of judges to determine the ultimate winner. And thank you to all who participated in the program this year. While “winning” is certainly nice, I think the greater exposure of your work and the entertainment you provided to the community has been very valuable. We hope that this encourages others to give it a shot next year.
