As organizations create analytic and data management workloads in SAS Viya, they face challenges in balancing cost and agility. The SAS solution to balance good Viya performance with reasonable infrastructure costs is the SAS Workload Management feature (formerly a separately sold add-on) in the Viya portfolio. SAS Workload Management extends the capabilities of Kubernetes by adding priority-based queues that can control where and when jobs are processed based on prioritization and resource allocation. We're excited to introduce the next generation of Workload Management Autoscaling Workload Management. Nodes are identified as “scalable” to leverage the Kubernetes Cluster Auto-Scaler. This enhancement further extends the workload management capabilities for Viya Compute Server-based processing.
