does the import wizard in EG make the file created/modified date attributes available for storing in a data set header or macro variable?

(I understand that SAS92 makes the information available through a base SAS function as documented for the foptnum() function at http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/hostwin/63285/HTML/default/win-func-foptnum.htm

It would be good if "owner" was among the attributes accessible through the function handling (better still, _all_ attributes available from the op.sys - whatever that is)

Peter,
I do not know of an option to retrieve the owner, but would the creation date in FINFO be helpful?

thank you Art
yes, a FINFO date would be good.
Is it made available by the EG import wizard(s)?
FINFO in SAS913 doesn't provide dates, so op.sys must be queried - I would rather the EG wizard queried the op.sys.

(otherwise I have another positive reason for client's to get up-to-date)

Peter,

I don't think the Import Data task propagates any attributes of the file it imports on to the output data set. That's an interesting idea though. You should submit that one as a suggestion to technical support, with a use case for how you might see it used.
