how to make mouse slide less jumpily in EG

I have a mouse question.

In EG, I move the "slider" at the bottom to see wide-tables.

It jumps around annoyingly, jumping right by inches instead of smoothly.

Q: How can I change SAS/myMouse to make this smooth?

(I want to gently move along the table-columns side to side).

Jim,

You can move the horizontal view with a bit more precision if you use the mouse, scrollbar "thumb", and tooltip to preview where you will land.  As you move the scrollbar thumb across the screen, a tooltip shows what column you will navigate to.  See attached picture.

The same affordance is available for vertical scrolling, to help navigate to a specific observation.  For that, you can also press Ctrl+G (Go to) and enter a specific row number.
