how to export/import publication channels

Would like to know how we can export/import publication channels using SAS 9.2.

Where does the information/data reside? With SAS 9.2, you have PROC SOAP available (a sample APP is retrieving weather info), but only if the info source "hosts" the data through a web-service interface. Need more details about where the data resides and in what format it exists.

Also, if the data is somewhere on a website, you have some options for parsing various data sources, presuming you have access to the content for processing with a SAS program.
