Hello,

I wanted to know like the title said, what differentiates two custom add-ins to be considered different by Enterprise Guide.

My goal is to add a new version of my custom add-in in EG (8.3) without deleting the older version. I've tried to change many values in the source code like sLabel, sAddInName, sAddInDescription, sTaskName, sCategory, sTaskDescription, sFriendlyName, sWhatIsDescription but it doesn't seems to be enough for EG and the newer version can't be added (i can add it when i delete the older version but that's not what i search). For example,  i downloaded a custom task that called "Message Prompt" and i can add it properly while the older version of my custom task is there.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I dont have an environment to test or develop but i will hazard a guess on direction. Look for a guid that is being attached to your add-in as a unique id. Similar to a registry key.
