Actulally here is the message relating to my previuos query.

Actually an error occuring after locking in on SAS Enterprise guide 7.1 writes :

"Could not establish a connection to the server on the requested machine. Verify that the server has been started and that the host and port of the server match the client's connection information".

Is this the first time you have tried setting this up or was it working and now it isn't?

Try pinging the SAS metadata server from a Windows command line to confirm it is live: ping SASMetadataServerName. If this works then the next thing to check is are the SAS metadata server services up and running (Windows or Unix)?

Contact your SAS server administrator that should be responsible for helping out with issues like this.
